About us

 

Our love for education, languages, history, geography, social studies and philosophy and PEOPLE is what drives us everyday. We have a clear method that we believe works well. We have been teaching and tutoring since 1998. Our first student was from the United Arab Emirates. We quickly realized that teaching a language without teaching culture was a mistake. We also came to the conclusion that in order to teach, we needed to learn more about our students. Finding a connection is very important to us. We do not just teach languages or other subject, we develop relationships with our clients. We strive for success, YOUR success. We believe that by teaching you, you will make the world a better, more compassionate place.

Our founder, Hinda, was born and raised in France and started learning English when she was 12. At age 14, she began learning Latin and Spanish. With a French Baccalaureate in Social Science and Economics with an English specialization, she moved to the United States to study and earned her B.A. in International Diplomacy and Culture as well as Spanish. She also holds the SIT Graduate TESOL certificate. Taking several English, Linguistics, Sociology, International law classes, participating and winning award of excellence at Model UN and interning in organizations such as International Visitors Council and Council on World Affairs, she developed strong cultural awareness, and communication skills.

Her many years of teaching French, ESL and Spanish in broad settings have made her an expert in second language acquisition. She has taught in elementary, middle, high school, college as well as homeschooled students. She most recently worked for a well known worldwide company.

Hinda is fully trained in full-immersion. She teaches using many other techniques, some she developed herself.

She currently teaches French, ESL, Spanish. She also in charge of our  translation, travel and business language and cultural consulting as well as our community outreach. She is also a trained actor and knows many techniques that can help overcome fear.

Leilana is our test prep specialist. She helps high school students prepare for AP tests and English portion of SAT. She has received 5s in APUSH and APHUG.
